WANDA’s vision is that all single mothers in San Mateo County who are struggling financially, but who are eligible and demonstrate the desire and motivation, have the opportunity to participate in a program that will help them to become financially self-sufficient and further succeed in life. Our mission is to increase the economic self-sufficiency of low-income single mothers and break the generational cycle of poverty. When this happens, our entire community will thrive.

We want to be able to support 30 WANDA Moms in the 2010 program, which includes financial education, skill-building seminars, networking and a 2:1 savings match for participants to use toward a home, business, education for themselves or their children or a retirement account.
A gift of any size is not only tax-deductible but will be leveraged to invest in women who are poised not only to break their family’s cycle of poverty but to improve the quality of life for our entire community. This is the woman effect. In this economy, invest in the people who provide the greatest return on investment you can find these days: women.
Thank you!
